Hellebores for Sale at Wal-Mart

Mid-afternoon we headed off to the Wal-Mart in Flemington. I had a list. Paul has a couple of things he wanted to look for. Parked the car. Walked to the entrance . . . and lo and behold, along with the hanging baskets of pansies and pots of primroses there were hellebores!
Compared to the diversity of hellebores at this morning's festival at Linden Hill Nursery,
these pots of Better Homes and Gardens 1.5G Pink Hellebore are, what to say, plain vanilla
All the plants are uniformly single flowered and dusty rose in color.
However these are good looking, healthy plants at a modest price. If I did not already have
hellebores happily flowering and multiplying here at BelleWood Gardens I would be tempted.
UPDATE Tuesday, 24 March
Others must have agreed, as when I went back to Wal-Mart on Monday, 23 March, none were left.
In fact, when I looked on-line they are now out of stock in all New Jersey and Pennsylvania stores.
